SRS TruBass® is another key audio enhancement solution from SRS Labs.  This patented psychoacoustic bass technology employs signal processing technology to provide significant bass enhancement to small speaker drivers.  As consumer electronics products, such as mobile phones and portable media devices, continue to become smaller and more portable, use of small speaker designs in earbud and headphone drivers have become commonplace. However, these small speaker drivers are physically incapable of reproducing most of the low frequency information found in audio material.

SRS TruBass uses psychoacoustics and speaker driver physics to overcome the inherent limitations in small drivers and tight enclosures. These techniques are used to increase the perception of bass while decreasing demands on the driver. Carefully sculpted filters counteract driver low-end roll off, remove energy that the driver can't reproduce, and emphasize low-order harmonics that boost perception of fundamental tones. Dynamics processing further reduces the demands on the driver while creating enhanced bass perception.

With SRS TruBass, speakers of any size can produce deep, rich bass tones, taking some of the worry out of product design efforts.
