As the television market migrates from bulky tube models to thinner digital displays, manufacturers are finding that they have less room for speakers, which in turn compromises the overall audio quality of the television. Additionally, big screen TVs and flat-panel LCD displays, where speakers are often located under the screen or close to the floor, present another set of challenges.
