General Job Description :
- Develop, direct, maintain and expand SRS business and customer relationships within assigned accounts and territories in line with business strategies of the company
- Owns the customer relationship and the delivery of assigned quota within assigned territory
- Develop multi-level relationships within customer as needed to promote IP solutions and business relationships
- Deliver market feed back on competitive actions and observed new market / customer trends
- Proactively work with internal Strategic Platform Partner Sales team to ensure speedy and successful integration of SRS technology into the assigned customer base
- Collect and share market direction and road map information to gain better understanding of customer’s strategies
- Explore and develop new customers and markets segments as required to strengthen and grow business results
- Develop partnership and create synergy with existing Global Sales team members in support of common customers and shared world wide goals
- Work in support of major / global ODM and OEMs selling SRS enabled products into the assigned territory
- Ability to travel to support business as required by customer base (maybe 50% or more, depending on geographic location)
- Lead (formally or informally) team of global sales members, as required by business conditions or customer requirements
Experience and Professional Skills:
- Ability to professionally function at all levels of management with-in a customer (Technical, Marketing, Business Development and Finance)
- Strong aptitude for learning and creativity
- Robust and proven sales skills, with the ability to relate “intangible” solution features and functionality to key benefits of customer
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and support cross functional team activities
- Consumer Electronics background: direct or channel sales experience in preferred markets: Home Entertainment, Automotive, Personal Computer, Accessories and Handheld devices (MP3 / MP4, Cellular Phones, Personal Media Players) (one or more markets required)
- Software, Semi-conductor or IP licensing sales background (one required)
- Major account management experience in the Consumer Electronics (CE) industry a plus
- Self motivated and proven tract record in meeting sales goals
- Strong grasp of the audio market and CE industry trends (preferably in the sales of licensing business model)
- Experience in working with multi-national CE companies
- Strong presentation skills and ability to create compelling messaging to drive customer interest
- Able to work remotely or in Small Office – Home Office environment
- Marketing background and / or experience (a plus)
- Competency in PC software tools (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, etc)
- Strong communications and presentation skills (regional language and fluent in English a requirement)
- “Customer aware” and experienced at establishing commitments and meeting customer expectations
- Experienced in using Sales Automation tools to track customer and business activities
- Clear and precise writing and oral skills (English and local language required)
- 8 or more years of direct or channel sales experience
- Experience in working for a “US Based” technology company (a plus)
Education:
- Engineering degree or technical equivalent (MBA a plus)
